I have a '08 silverado 22000mi. I must have bumped the trans control into 4-wheel hi. I drove it about 900mi. On the freeway [dry conditions] I drained the transfer case, plenty of fine metal. The book calls for dextron 6 this oil was green? Re drain in a few thousand? Whats my chances of it being ok thanks

This should not be a huge problem, if it was all highway use, I would do a re flush of the oil as a precaution, and look for a any signs of metal in the second drain, if there is a problem, you will hear it first.
