When you replaced the valve cover gasket, did you also replace the tube seals?

I would perform a compression test and a leak down test. You could have bad piston rings which would be covered under hyundais 10 year 100,000 mile warranty if you are the original owner.

Are you talking about fuel like gasoline or engine oil? You're saying oil but I'm not sure if you mean gasoline.

Burning oil is actually a bad thing. Every manufacturer accounts for some oil consumption during a certain period of time but it's not a good thing to burn oil. The fact that you are not burning oil is a good thing.

If oil is somehow getting into the combustion chamber, you can have bad piston rings or possibly a head gasket. Due the compression test and leak down test. To check the piston rings, do a dry compression test first, if you find any of the cylinders with low compression, drip in a few drops of motor oil inside the chamber and then do your compression test again, if your compression goes back up, then you have bad piston rings, if not you have another underlying problem.
