How can a shift knob fall apart.
2007 ford focus shift knob fell apart and the wires for the overdrive button are broken as well. I still can shift the car but without the shifter being complete, what would it cost to have this repaired.

the shifter handle has to be replaced. a dealer parts department can give you that price. the labor is about 1.5 hours

The junk yard might be able to supply you the part at a very much lower price for a used one than a new one.
