My ABS and DSC lites are on. I had a idler pulley fail and the belt also broke while I was on I75. After the repaired was completed I was a day late for an appointment, so I just paid the mechanic and left. That's when I saw the lites on. I knew the guy at this repair shop did not know much about the Mini, so I though he did not put some plugs back together. The car run good so I thought I would get to when I got back home. I got back at it now and found a the two wires for the ABS were both cut. I repaired them, pulled the plug apart, and checked the circuit, wire to hub, with my meter - ok. Fuses check ok. My question is -- are the two systems, ABS & DSC connected at some point? Why would both systems activate the warning lites when I had this pulley failure. How do get these working again? Thanks Joe

The DSC is connected to yaw rate sensor to automatically apply brakes when going into a corner and it senses under or over steer. If anything where abs is on will cause this not to work. So you 'll have to find the code for abs and maybe clear it and see if it goes away as yo'sve found broken wires. Some auto parts may have an abs reader to clear it.
