Want to know why does my auto A/C blows cold air.

I seriously doubt you could have a compressor installed and working correctly for $300. That's more like $700. I would get a second opinion from an A/C specialist. Something doesn't sound right about what he's telling you and nobody is going to know what the problem is without actually checking the car.
