X trail heating stopped working

I have a 2005 2.2 dci nissan xtrail. Every now and then the A/C and fan would stop working and then seem to start again. It has now stopped completely. What could this be?

This sounds like a blower motor issue which is common but to be sure here is a guide to help you see what you are in for and how to test for power at the motor.

Its the blower fans, therefore the windscreen keeps misting up as well as it getting cold! Today I drove it and twice on starting her up with setting on 'auto' fans came on for a couple of seconds before stopping? So I checked the blower motor via the guide you gave and found the blower motor has bad. All fixed now thanks for the help.

Step 1 - A heater cannot operate unless the engine is full of coolant/antifreeze. If coolant level is low check the system for leaks.
