OK so I bought the Jeep not runnning but it would turn over. I first was getting an error which directed me to the oil sending unit, I replaced that but no change. I cam to wonder if there was a timing issue as when I did a compression test all cylinders were at 40-42 not good I though. I tore it apart and yes the timing was out by 4-6 teath on the exhaust cam and 2 on the intake. Good think its a non interfearnce engine. So also replaced the crank sensor and she fired right up. Than I got an error code 0016 which I tackled everthingn I could except the cam sensor had to wait for the part. She would drive fine until 3100 rpm in any gear. Than she started to act up started miss fireing when idling rev up sounded smooth. Now she wont even start Ive rechecked the timing its good. Now I need some advice.

0016 code a pro has to fix. What it is is the cam and crank are not in sync together and a pro has to use his scanner to make it correct.

Does it have to be a dealer or any shop that has a scanner.
