Why is car surging rpms in idle when in drive but full brake applied?
My mothers 2005 Ford Taurus is surging while in idle at stop signs and red lights and a few times has completely cut off. We have replaced Idle Control Sensor, plugs n wires and air filter with still no success. What else could it be?

scan for codes , check fuel pressure and clean tthottle plate on both sides they get gummy

No codes come back when diagnostic is ran. I replaced idle control valve, plugs and wires and air filter but haven't cleaned throttle plate or checked fuel pressure. Thanks for the info
