Ford Escape 2005 - I hit on the breaks to slow down approaching a turn, RPM suddenly went low and then engine died. Tried to start it but it won't. After a few minutes, I was able to start it but RPM was running low everytime I slow down. WHat could be the problem and how do we fix it?

Clean the idle air control valve and the MAF sensor and see what happens
