switching transmissions

I messed up when I ask about using another trans. I put 96 I meant 06.just trying to get away from the cvt. didnt know if that would work? you said I could go with manual, but a lot of work. would I have to do any thing to the computer? Thats If I can't use

I remember you with the transmission question.I have heard nothing about retro fitting a different automatic transmission to take the place of the cvt transmissions.I remember when i went to training for the vue and seeing that transmission in class and saying what a bad idea.
