I just bought a 2004 Aztek and I love the look of it but weird stuff keeps happening. The brakes have been replaced and then rechecked and nothing found to be wrong yet the abs light comes on sometimes. The service vehicle soon light comes in two different places and will stay on for awhile then go off. Sometimes the wipers don't want to work and on occasion the car changes gears kinda hard then other times is smooth as a new car. Also replaced blower switch in heater/ac and it worked for two days now it will not work anymore.I am not rich and didn't want a car payment so I paid 5700 cash for this and really cannot afford to have things going wrong.I am a female and am not a mechanic so any and all help is appreciated on this. Thanks in advance.

Bought it from private owner? Now you know why they sold it? If dealer you should get some consideration for the RECENT purchase.

We did a car fax on it and it was a one owner with no real past problems reported and no accidents had been serviced regularly. We did buy it "as is" and purchased it out of state from a dealership.I hate thinking I have made a bad decision on buying it I was so excited at first. However daily I become more and more concerned and now cannot afford to replace it.

Out of state, as is, all RED FLAGS! Reality bites, now more than ever! You can use google to try and sort out your problems. Gotta be lots of others with dreams dashed?

The pas(security)system. I bet the key fob has been changed or battery is bad in it. Soon lights and alarm will sound on its own. Might need to bypass system. Also there was a recall on a module that went under the dash that made the doors lock on there own, which was a safety issue due to astek high fire rate in early modles. Hope this helps. We are a 2 aztek family. 2001 & 2004
