My 04 sentra is giving me some grief when the engine is cold its hard to start and when it does it idles very rough almost to the point of stall. Once it warms up it stops. I get a code the camshaft position sensor I replaced it and the spark plugs and still have the issue I'm at a dead end from my knowledge wondering if anyone else has any idea as to what could be causing it

Have you checked the fuel pump pressure to see if it is within the manufacturer's specs?

No, it wouldn't throw that code, but since you replaced it and it made no difference, that is where I would start.

So far its starting fine I had to move the sensor a little and it has started without any issues. Is it possible that the old oil would cause issues with it reading

No, the oil wouldn't have caused that to happen.

I've replaced the crank shaft, belts, the mass airflow sensor and for years I've had problems starting my car. My mechanic has worked on it several times and every time my check engine light comes on it reads mass air flow sensor or CO2. I do not know what else to do. I've always changed my oil on time and it's been a really good car other than this. Any advice?

No, I bought it new. I had it a couple of months before it started having trouble starting and I've had the same problem since. It's never been in an accident and I've replaced all I know of. My mechanic is even at a loss for words.

Could be a lemon? Some odd abnormal fault not easily detected. For instance, I had a vw gulf with a rough idle stall that I finally and LUCKILY tracked down to a loose contact pin in the computer harness plug! I even changed the computer with no improvement! Dont know how I saw the loose pin, just luck!

Will not start. It cranks up, but will not turn over for some reason. Have changed, ECC/both of them, crank and cam sensor, variable timing chain solenoid, unplugged the battery, checked the timing chain. I tried to check for a spark from the coils, but did not get any spark. Somebody please help me with this one.

Engine Mechanical problem
2004 Nissan Sentra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 75000 miles

The first time I start my car in the morning, it turns over fine, but after driving for about 30 minutes, if I turn off the car, and try and start it again, it cranks for a good 10 seconds, but doesn't turn over. If I try again and hold down the accelerator pedal about half way, it usually starts up fine the second or third time. The problem is worse in summer weather, so I assume one of the causes is the heat. I have replaced the battery recently but haven't done much other work to it other then oil changes. I have checked for codes with a code reader and found nothing. After starting, the car runs fine and the temperature stays normal. Thanks in advance.

So, just an update after researching more, I have come to believe that I need to replace these parts. Search the codes up on google and I have found many people with the same problems as me being fixed after completing this.

Basically, you need to install a full Fuel Pump Repair Kit.

22670-8U70C - REGULATOR ASSY.
17342-01A00 - O-RING SEAL

Scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge first. Autoparts rent it.
