Idler pulley and thermostat

My car started overheating and I went to several auto shops that want to charge to much money just to look at the car. I found the problem was the idler pulley and the thermostat. I need help doing these repairs myself being that I'm a female and I don't want to get ripped off by someone. I have done minor work to my car before. I'm having trouble getting to the thermostat and there are no videos online. Please help

You are going to have to remove the belt so this guide will help with this:
