Can a thermostat be placed backwards by accident on a 2004 Chrysler Sebring convertible 2.7 liter v6?

Hello,

If the thermostat gets installed backwards, you might not be able to close the thermostat housing. However it is possible to install backward if it gets forced in the housing.

What kind of issue are you having with the thermostat?
Is the engine not warming up properly or is it overheating?

Let me know what you got.

Thank you.
