I have a 2004 Chevy Malibu LT. I need to know if this vehicle has a timing belt or timing chain. Its current mileage is 85K and have done the regular maintenance. Let me know when do I get the timing belt/chain changed.

Gears and chain no need to replace can go 150-200+K miles

Thanks for the reply, Can I drive this vehicle for 1-2K miles in 2-3 days? I just got the New tires, brakes service, wheel alignment and oil change done today. Please let me know.

Can't promise that with a machine but I would. I have a 2002 Malibu and wolud do a trip like that. Lot of driving in short time so take breaks and be safe.
