Lincoln Navigator Door Problem

The air suspension compressor locked up (broken piston rod connector) and I replaced with a new unit and had the battery disconnected and the main air ride switch off. Now the compresser will not turn on at all. Fuses 20, 27, and 111 all check out good. All of the ride height sensors are connected properly. I jumpered the two thick wires at the relay plug (unplugged) and the compressor will run but the air bags will not inflate. I checked input voltage on the two smaller wires of the same plug and got 3vdc with the vehicle running and the doors closed. The system was working until the compressor failure. Could the compressor failure cause another problem?

sure can.

try this, open the door, close the door then start it up and let it sit, see if the pump comes on.
