We remove the radio and replace it with a aftermarket radio. When we done this the speedometer stop working and the wipers also stop working. We cut the wires of the old radio and just wired them up to the new radio. My boyfriend also ran a wire from my wiper to make them work on one speed where I have to put the wires together inside and than undo them to turn them off. So we do not know where to go now. Can you please help me get my jeep back together and working right?

First there shold be adapters that you can buy so you just plug the radio in and not cut wires. That is your first problem. The yellow wire to yellow violet should be hooked back up because it goes to the bcm that may fix your problem

You might have a screwed up bcm which is expensive to replace. Have apro look at this and see if he can get it fixed right so everything will work again. Even if you have to put the old radio back in then get an adapter or have a radio shop install it.

When we hook the old radio up it would not come on. Do you think if I get the adapters or a wiring kit for it do you think that will help any? With the wires already cut?

Dowhat I said in last reply you may have to reset a code for radio if it's that type then try your last 4 digits of vin number on dash. Otherwise call Chrysler for the code. You'll need the vin. But really have a pro do this NOT your bf because it needs to be hooked up correctly because there is also a pci bus included.
