2003 Jaguar S-Type Repair Question

Check Engine Light on
I am having a check engine light plus a Gearbox Fault message on a 2003 Jaguar S-Type. I was told that it might be I need Transmission fluid. I can not locate where to check that. Can you help?

You will need to take it over to the dealership to have the fluid level check since there is a special tool used by Jaguar to remove the check plug and check and fill the level. There is also a certain temperature it needs to be in or else you would need to wait until the fluid cools down while doing the check. You would need a scanner to monitor the transmission fluid temperature.
