when car is cold it starts fine but will not accelarate even if I floor it for a few seconds. Does not even rev up but then will take off. Could this be the throttle position sensor going bad?

I would change the fuel filter and see if that fixes it.

I would lean more towards a air flow sensor, or plugged/restricted exhaust system, or fuel pressure issue, but thats just what comes to mind, in order to get to the bottom of it you really would have to have this car scanned for trouble codes for a starting point for diagnoses/ or if there are none, have an experienced tech watch live data on the scanner for anything out of the ordinary such as air flow readings to see if they match specs, make sure fuel pressure reading is correct, and check exhaust backpressure.
