I have a 2003 expedition that wont start when the fule gets about a half of a quater tank. I think its the fule pump but not sure. Have you heard of this happening to other trucks or is it something else.

Its sounds like its your sending unit for your fuel gage or the gage itself.

Not sure what you mean. The truck will run fine then I can turn it off and try to start agian and it wont start. It will turn over but wont run. I have noticed that the fule gage reads around a 1/4 tank or less when this happens. However if I let the truck sit over night it will start right up and be fine untill the next time but I have noticed every time the truck wont start the fule is low. If the fule pump is going bad shouldn't there be a code or check eng light coming on? I had the trucke checked at the shop for any codes and there is none. Will the fule pump show a code.

There no code for a bad fuel pump, the way you have to check them is with a gage theres no other way. But yea it sounds like the fuel pump is going bad. If you do have to replace it make sure you replace the fuel filter its a must, trust me.
