My Dodge Dakota has been stalling while I am driving it and also just sitting at a stop sign/light. Also, sometimes it may take 15 minutes to start back up, but most of the time it starts right back. I am just wondering what the problem could be, I have been told many different things but dont want to pay a arm and a leg and its not the fix.

What you need to do is this. When it won't restart, check to see if you are getting spark and fuel to the engine. One will be missing or weak. Once you identify that, you will know what to focus on. Chances are it is a crank sensor or fuel pump.

For directions on testing spark and fuel, go to our homepage under the DIY section. There are directions for both. Actually, checking fuel pressure is on a video too. You will need a fuel pressure gauge to test it, but most parts stores will lend or rent the to you.
