Whenever I reverse i hear a clunking sound, what could be the problem?

from front or back? does it have rear drum brakes?

does the clunk happen when you change gears, foot on brake?

No its while reversing that I hear the sound, im moving backwards and I hear the clunk.

did this start suddenly or get worse over time?

have front suspension/ball joints checked.
