03 GMC Envoy, disconnected battery, removed altenator to access thermostat. Replaced thermostat and reinstalled altenator. First I received unknow driver message and no start; then Envoy starts but won't shift out of park and has both the SES and Reduced Engine Power light. In addition to the lights, the transmission will not shift out of park.

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on

Won't come out of park-check the shift interlock control system possible the shift control solenoid/brake switch

I already ran codes and figured it was an issue with the Passlock system and was looking for something more than a "have it scanned" answer. What a waste of $10.00 for the donation to the site.

For the record, it was the Passlock and once it was reset the issue was resolved. Thanks for nothing 2carpros. Com
