As most Ford owners are well aware, a clunking noise typically means a steering or suspension part is about to separate leading to loss of control and a crash. Have those systems inspected immediately at a tire and alignment shop. The cause of the noise could be minor, but they will start with the things that cause more serious problems like the ball joints and tie rod ends.
