2002 Dodge Stratus Stratus transmission

Transmission loses all gears sometimes. And I hear a noise like something trying to engage. But the noise comes and goes. Transmission never started slipping or acting funny.I lose every gear like its in neutral.

When it does have?The gears it goes in them hard. Like from park to reverse

The first thing I would check is for codes in the computer?Let me know the exact code numbers you have not code descriptions?
