Hello pros I have a question about my steering. Whenever I drive my 2002 chevy impala sometimes the steering feels likes it sticks to the road. It mainly does it when I take off slowly. I thought it was the power steering pump going out, so I changed it and the problem still happens. I'm not sure if it is the tie rod or some other suspension issue. If you could give me your professional opinion I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for all your help. Jeremy.

We can't tell you what is wrong without seeing the vehicle but I can tell you tat you need to carefully inspect the steering linkage while someone else simulates the problem from inside the car. Look for any moving parts making contact with something. You could have a problem with the steering rack but I would pay close attention to the swivel joint at the base of the steering column where it attaches to the rack. The u-joints can bind up.
