What board are you talking about?The security goes thru the body control module if the security is on the security light will be on solid o flashing when trying to start it.

I ran a wire from the purple wire on my starter to my battery...and the security box that is u xer the glove box waz all wet inside so i went and got another one....do i need to do the 10 mi. Reset..you now..try to start the car and leave the key on till the light goes out
