My car have trouble switching into gears. Last week for about 3-4 days the shift gear stick was very hard to move & made an old rusty noise once it did move. Checked all fluids. When I went to Speedee to get a transmission flush they told me they couldn't do it because there computer was reading that I had a missing solenoid. I know a little about cars but by me being femle they probably think I have no ideas whats going on.I was told that my trasmission have to be rebuilt.I've only had my car 4months & my mileage is 65500. Ther is no way I nedd a rebuilt transmission especially not for almost $3000. Can someone please help me & assist me on where to go.

First of all, speedy is not a trans shop. Forget what they said, does not make sense at all.

Anyway, you have a cable to the trans that may be seized and need replacement. Take it to a trasn shop and have them verify this.

By the way, many cars transmissions fail at your mileage and 3000 is about the right price.

Just get the basics checked first before assuming the worse.
