Hi,
For a few weeks now my Corolla has been making a crashing noise when starting. Now it wont start at all although it still makes the crashing/machine gun sound. The engine is not turning over at all. It is a relatively new battery. I've tried rocking it backwards and forwards in gear and turning the key with it in gear but nothing happens other than the sound. Do you think that it is a faulty starter motor?
Kind regards
Richard Hogg

It could be a faulty starter or insufficient battery power. Check the battery terminals for cleanliness and secureness. Try a jump start and if it still does not work, the starter would have to be tested.
