2000 Mercury Sable I don't know

Like it started making a spraying noise and every time I pressed on the gas the noise got louder. I wAs going up a hill pressing the gas and the noise stopped and everything on dash (lights and speedometer) stopped working. So I pressed on the gas again and it shot back up and when I would let go it would do it again then I finally stopped driving. So I parked it and turned it off and after about 10 minutes it won't even turn over now.

Check for coolant/oil leaks as you heard spraying so it should be noticeable if it was either of those. You don't need to start it for that. Then check fluid levels and when not starting does it not turn over or won't run
