I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. My problem is my Jeep shuts off randomly while driving down the road. Sometimes, its when I'm slowing down to turn. However, It does not happen every time I drive. I'm afraid it will become a safety issue. I have been told its a problem with my security system. I just don't know. Does anyone know what the problem is?

To see if it's a security issue then it will need to be scanned by a pro. Otherwise it may be a loose wire at asd relay or a dirty throttle plate. So try cleaning throttle plate on both sides and iac hole with choke cleaner.

If it's not the security, do you know what else the problem could be?

I have heard it could be the crank sensor.

It could be the crank sensor but you'll need a scanner to count current while cranking and only pro models can do that. You can try wiggle test at sensor to see if it quits as it may be a bad connector
