2000 GMC C2500 Repair Question

Check oil level light on.
How do I cycle the engine on a 2000 gmc 2500? I have checked the oil levels they are good. Manual says to cycle the engine to remove the light on the message centre.

if you are talking about change oil soon, then turn key on without starting the truck. hit the gas pedal to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds. the light should flash. if it's check oil level then have it checked for a grounded wire or bad sending unit in the pan
