The van turns on and runs fine but when I try to drive, the wheel will not turn easily I thought the problem was with the power steering fluid but it was at normal levels. Then when I pulled out straight I noticed the brakes were very hard to push, and the brake fluid level was fine also. The two problems I noitced at the same time and just the day before I changed the spark plugs and it drove fine, so I think/hope it is one solution but I am not sure of. And I noticed the brake and anti-lock brake lights were on in the dash, does this have something to do with the problem?

Possibly. Sounds like the power steering pump isnt working. It runs the steering as well as the"hydro-boost" unit which is your power brakes. Have seen the shafts break on the pumps so that the pump isnt turning internally even though the pulley is.
