If you tried putting gas thru the throttle body and didn't combust I suggest you check the spark again- if spark still present -check the valve and ignition timing could be off

Have heck the spark multiple times and even made sure it was bluish whit and not a dull red like another person told me to check. How would valve or ignition timing just magically be off and how do I even check that im quite capable of doing things but I just got this truck a month ago and havent bought a haynes for it yet but plan to tommorow.

Fuel pressure should be 41-47 psi-yours is too low

Check the fuel pressure if its within specs and also for injection pulses-and check the valve and ignition timing things happens

Well I didnt have a timing thin so I took all four plugs out and grounded them and watched them spark in order so its not that we3nt ahead and popped the bed up and took the old pump out now im just waten for a new one from online cuz autozone wants way 2much almost 300 bucks and online its like 60 so im waitn for the next day mail now, I sure hope its not the damn regulator tho im like 95% sure its the pump but there that 5% thats telln me it might be the fp regulator. Can fpr cause that low presure and imediate loss of presure after cranking like literely a second after cranking that presure is gone from 21 or so to zero.

Pinch off the return line and see if your fuel pressure is in speck. It should go up.

Just tried that cuz im thinking it mite be the damn regulator now problem is I cant pinch of the return fuel line cuz they are hard plastic and or aluminum so I stuck a golf tee in and taped the shit out of it but still the gas gets through sum but what im wondering is if the fuel presure regulator would cause whats happening basically I turn the key fuel goes to the rail reads only 21-27 psi because it is instantaneusly getting sent back to the tank via the return line shouldnt the fpregltr be holding that gas there for the next tim I try to start I if it doesnt start not sending it back to the tank? An experts opinion on this would be greatly apprieciated ty

Your fuel pressure is way too low-if you pinch of the return line the pressure should rise to 8-10psi if not check the FPR and also the fuel pump could be on its way out

Remove the vac hose at the FPR you see fuel in it-get rid of it

Check your engine cranking vacuum by atching a vacuum gauge to the engine. There should be about 2 to 5 in of cranking vacuum. This will. Give us some idea of the health of the engine

Ok changed fuel presure regulator not that and the pump gets here tommorow but I know it wont do me anygood cuz I boorrowed a compresion tester and I have zero compresion on cylinders2 and 3 didnt bother to check the other two yet but if I had to gues proly nun there either so what does this mean can a slipped timming chain cause no compresion cuz if it can I gues thats next cuz after that its tear down time rite? Oh I know the chain isnt broke cuz the pistons are moving in there so can a slipped a few teeth timing chain cause the no compression or is somthing else more likely like a head gasket or somthing?

See if you can remove the valve cover and make shore the intake and exhaust valves a both closed. Add compressed air through the spark plug hole and li sin to where the air is escaping from. Sounds like some kind of a valve timing problem. Good luck $ let me know if ypu need more help.

Ok first thing in the morning I will what should I be listening for exactly tho air escaping from either the intake or exhaust valve? But you dont think zero compresion would be caused by the timing chain just skipping? Cuz I know its not broke cuz the pistons are moving in there.

Still cant explain the low fuel presure but if its still low once im done with the timing chain them il change the pump since I already got it in the mail. Thanks for all the help everyone if theres anything else do do about all this il post it ty again --jake--

Ok timing chain back on and most stuff back on have to wait to tommorow to finish cuz I remember from all the testn I did earlier that the #3 injector is sprayn way to much cuz it was filln the intake manifold port #3 from only crankn it over a few times so im hit the junk yard tommorrow and pick one up unless one of the big boxes stores hasem cheap then its back on with that and done. Oh I noticed when I pulled the valve cover it was pretty nasty in there I cleaned it out with a vacum as I geently scraped neasty cruty oil stuf off the guy who had it b4 me must have never changed the damn oil at all ggrrrr any suggestions on how to clean it better without having to pull the head?

Oh that injector might explain that slightly low fuel presure(27-32)? I have the pump now anyways so if it still test low ima change it while the beds up figure mite as well.
