I have been having an issue w/ starting my vehicle.
sometimes it will work right away. At times when I go to start the car it will not turn over.
if I let it sit there for a while I could hear a whistling noise like if something was on.
if I leave it alone for 20 mins or longer sometimes it will turn on.
the other day I went to turn on my car I had to press on the gas pedal a few times and turn the key at the same time and it started but it smelled like rotten eyes.
there is a secuirty light that comes on and I do have a check engine light
i dont beleive it is a battery issue because my lights are still bright, radio still works, and I am able to roll the windows down just fine.
i would appreciate it if you could help me out.
thanks

So when it won't start is the security light on solid or flashing with the key in the run position?

Then I would start with having a full scan of all the computers with a professional scan tool that can readall the codes a diyer scanner tool or auto parts scan tool ccan't do that. Let me know the exact code numbers not code descriptions? Depending on the codes it might even take a professional scan tool to diagnose it. We have to start with why the security light is on?Because a security system problem can cause random no starts.

Cars are so computer driven the newer the more computers they have. Also you must have a expensive scan tool to talk to all these computers. Let us know what they find.
