2000 Chevy Impala check engine light came on

hi, when i was driving on hwy my engine or tranny started shaking and like when i press the gas padel the car like has no power, then the check engine light came on. i parked the car and let it cool off for couple minutes. then turn the car back on and it was driving fine, can anyone tell me what the problem is.

What you need to do is have the car scanned and pull the code s
That will help to pin point w the trouble area
And steer you in the right direction to what is happening or happened
