When turn on key after sitting overnight, brake booster makes squeaking sound as it pumps up. This lasts only seconds. Seems to be increasing in frequency. Is this serious? What is cause? Solution?
Thanks

Its difficult to hear what you hear from here, but it does seem to be unusual. Perhaps the booster will require replacement, I am not sure, but it might be a possibility.

On another site it was suggested that the vac line from the booster might be leaking, or its fitting might. It also suggested I move the line around with sound occurring to see if this could be confirmed. ANy thoughts about this?

It may just be a dry dust seal, is the noise constant or only when the pedal is pressed?
