Hello, so my car was idling high. So I took out the throttle body and cleaned it along with Idle air control valve. I put it back in today and now it still idles rough and the CEL is flashing. It also kind of smells like gas but I dont know where from. Could it be electrical?

Usually when the light flashes, it indicates a misfire. Have the computer scanned to identify what trouble codes is there. That way, you will know what exactly to do.

Well I had it read before and it came up P5050 the engine is getting to high or too little oxygen. So I went and cleaned the throttle body as I said because there was not a vacuum leak. So could me cleaning it have arose to another problem with another code?

It shouldn't have caused additional problems. If it is on again, I would have it read to make sure it hasn't changed.

From what I read that I could have broke the gasket but thank you I will try to drive it to the shop
