I pulled out one of the plugs on my distributor cap while the car was running then it started sparking and then the car shut off. Now it won't start, it just keeps cranking. Theres no spark coming from the plugs. Help needed ASAP, thanks in advance.

Okay where is the coil? I'm not much of a mechanic lol. But if there is spark, all I would have to replace is the rotor and cap on the distributor and not the whole distributor?

The coil wire is the center wire on dist cap and no you don't need to replace whole dist just cap and rotor as it may have cracked.
