K so I drive my car to work everyday and getting to work its not a problem it runs fine in the morning when its col and it dont heat up as much. But in the afternoon when comming home on the highway I will be going about 70mph and then it will slowly loose power then when I push all the way down on the pedel it will go no were then adventually shut off. Then when I start the car back up it will drive fine for about another 10mins then shut off again. If I do this too many times it will fail to start up. Until I leave it there for about an hour then it wil start back up and drive. I checked the coolant and its fine. I cleaned the throttle body, got a new air idle control valve, ne position sensor, new coil, wires, plugs, oil, oil filter, cleaned the mass ait flow sensor, got a new egr valve, so I was asking around and most people telling me its the fuel pump or clogged cat coverter. And I do hear a sound comming from the driver side and I had a friend check it out becasue I thought it was the manifold gasket leak but he said it maybe my cat converters going bad. So what should I do get new cats and new fuel pump? Or do you guys have any other cheaper less pricey things I can check out before I dash out all my monie.

Check fuel pump pressure when this happens. Also, when it won't restart, switch the EEC relay with another one with the same part number. See if that makes a difference.

Sounds JUST like a fuel pump to me! Remember to replace the fuel tank grommet when you do this job.
