I blew the motor in my car, I've replaced it with a long block and have reused all of the externals, fuel rail and injectors, alt, coil and such. I'm getting fuel to the engine but it won't start. The anti-theft light is on when I crank it over and don't remember it ever being on before. I was a fair mechanic before the computer controlled cars came along. What am I missing, with the coils under the plate above the plugs it's hard for me to check if there getting spark. I'm at my whits end with this car, is it a security issue with it. Thanks for your help

Sometimes when battery voltage is lost, the vehicle can go into theft lock. With a security issue, I usually check for fuel injector pulse.

As far as a security issue, you can try a relearn procedure? Try to start, leave key in the on position. The security lamp may go out after about 10 minutes. Then you go through the procedure twice more for a total of 30 minutes. The last time you cycle the key off, it should relearn, if it's going to. I'll have to double check that relearn procedure?

Just to add, for the relearn procedure, make sure the battery has a full charge.

Actually for your vehicle our database didn't mention 30 minutes. It just said after 10 minutes if the security goes out, try to restart. If it starts, it has relearned.

You may need to check applicable codes. To check codes yourself, at the least you need an obd2 code reader.
