I think I just responded to this post from yesterday. So bear with me. Since you reposted, I can't see our conversation to make sure.

If the engine stays running with your foot on the gas, chances are you either have a vacuum leak or the idle air control valve is bad. First, check for vacuum leaks. They can cause the engine to die at an idle. If there are none, have the idle air control (IAC) checked.
