Okay, so my truck makes a humming noise down by the shifting fork under the floor, and I dont know what it is. Anyone know? My truck has over 100,000 miles on it

It is probably the input shagft bearing. I realize the noise sounds like it is coming from shifter forks but the most common failed bearing is the input shaft and can sound like it is well within the trans. It could also be a worn synchro but this usually comes with a shifting problem. There are other holder bearingsa in some transmissions that could be at fault. The best way to see is to pull the tranny and remove the shifter cover and check the input shaft for play.
