indicates that the vehicle's computer has detected a fault in the transmission system and has put the transmission into safe mode, meaning the vehicle will only go a certain speed. this could be due to something internal of the transmission to a malfunctioning sensor. i suggest having diagnostic tests ran on the tranny to find the culprit.
