1998 Cadillac Catera Won't start

My pin on my ignition cylinder broke so I removed my ignition and therefore it could be started with a screwdriver with the key by steering column because of the chip in the key was driving it and then it just died on me and will not start now

Has the anti theft light come on? Will the engine crank but not start?

Check to see if there is spark getting to the plugs and listen to see if the fuel pump is running. If both are not working, my first guess is the anti theft system has shut things down.
