1997 Subaru Forester Repair Question

Gears do not change when the engine is running
I have a 1997 subaru forester s/tb which gears change when the engine is off.Geras do not change when the engine is running.
I have changed the master cylinder ,both kits and the clutch plate and the problem still persists.
Please help.

Will not go in gear while is running-Did you torque the pressure plate to specs?

Is pedal height correct?
Engage gears with handbrake fully engaged and brakes depressed, start vehicle and see if the clutch releases.
