Quadra trac stuck in neutral, how do I get it to go back into 4-or 4-lo?

I tried shifting from 4-hi to 4-lo was able to get it in, then shifted back to 4-hi. Took vehicle for drive transfer case went into neutral, now can't get it into 4-hi or 4-lo.

Is it still driving, but the front wheels aren't working? Let me know, I Just repaired one of those. But in my case, the front wheels were binding to, always staying locked.

No, the transfer case is in the neutral position. I can push the vehicle to get it to roll.

Solved my own problem, if I would have looked closer I would have saw that the bushing holding rod into shift arm had popped out. Thank you for your time.

THIS SOMETHING THAT HAS A RETAINER OF SOME SORT OR DOES IT SIMPLY RELY ON BEING POPPED INTO PLACE?

ON CJs COTTER PINS CAPTURE THE LINKAGES

MIGHT NOT BE A GOOD THING TO HAPPEN AGAIN IN A DESPERATE, DIRTY, OR SCUBA TYPE SITUATION
