1997 Accord LX serpentine belt issue

I'm having an issue releasing the tension from the serpentine belt on my accord. There is no idler pulley for the drive belt that controls the alternator and ac compressor. there is a separate belt for power steering which was easy enough to change. However I'm having trouble getting the alternator to dip down enough to get the belt around the pulley. I wanted to know what I need to remove or loosen to get the belt on.

If you have to, remove the alternator. I don't know any tricks for removal. Picture below.

You need to release the adjusting and lock nut and push the alternator downwards to release the belt tension.

Sorry, I thought that was obvious. My fault.
