engine stalls

My truck stalls when I let off of the gas and come to a stop. It's a '97 Dodge Dakota, V8, 4x4. I didn't find a vacuum leak or any loose wires. The sensors are connected and seem to work fine. The check engine light hasn't came on. The truck seems to be getting fuel fine. I was going to change the fuel filter but it's in the tank and I was hoping not to drop the tank. What do you think the problem is and what should I look for next?

If the battery was recently disconnected or run dead, the Engine Computer has to relearn "minimum throttle" before it will know when it must be in control of idle speed. To meet the conditions for the relearn to take place, drive at highway speed with the engine warmed up, then coast for at least seven seconds without touching the brake or gas pedals. Until minimum throttle is relearned, you also won't get the nice idle flare-up to 1500 rpm when you start the engine.
