Shifting 2nd to 3 gear problem

Hello,

I'm experiencing a shifting problem. My car won't go up than the 2nd gear.
So I can go up to 35mph max.
It's a 1997 Chrysler Sebring convertible JX V6 2.5

I've read the code from OBD and it says :

P0733 Gear 3 Incorrect Ratio
P0700 Transmission Control System (MIL Request)

I've seen that it could be a bad transmission speed sensor (input/output).
What should I do ?
Thanks

A mechanic would connect a scanner that can display live data, then view the two speed sensors' output signals to see if one is missing. If it is he would first look at the connector and wiring, then given that the sensor is the most likely suspect, to save diagnostic time he would pop a new one in and see if that solved the problem. If is doesn't, he will not have wasted much time or expense, and he will know that more in-depth diagnosis is needed.
